Children coming to know and love God is what parents hope for their children. But, how do parents do that, making use of all the helps of their church family? Parenting the whole child throughout their childhood and adolescence is a challenge, but with this session, key tips for parenting a child's spiritual formation will inspire parents and church leaders alike.
General Session 1
Once we’ve established the core conviction that parents need to raise their children to know, love and follow Jesus, we need to develop a plan to help them do it. We will discuss practical strategies to equip parents with the resources they need to raise their children in the Lord. With an emphasis on building healthy families with healthy habits, we will lay out some ways for families and churches to work together to nurture our kids in the faith.
General Session 2
Pastor Jason Smith
"If we want to bring up a godly family, who shall be a seed to serve God when are heads are under the clods of the valley, let us seek to train them up in the fear of God by meeting together as a family for worship" (Spurgeon, A Pastoral Visit). Families are called to know God and to respond to Him in loving obedience. Singing psalms of praise, meditating on God's word , bringing to life the truths of the scriptures and praying to a God who never-stops-listening brings glory to God as we heed His directive to worship Him with all of our hearts, minds and souls. Parents and Churches are called to teach their children to worship through word and deed. This session will bring to life not only the "whys" of Family worship in the home and church, but also the "what" and "how". Learn and experience how to worship as a family at home and in the church in this Third Conference Session and the subsequent Family Interactive Worship Experience.

MOODY WORSHIP TEAM
Worship is the opportunity to express our faith and love for God. As parents and church leaders, we not only have the chance to teach our children about God, but we also get to share with them in the joy of our celebration of knowing him, showing them a living faith. At this year's NEXT conference, we get to experience first hand a Family Worship Experience as part of the afternoon session. Featuring some of our best Moody worship majors, parents, children, and pastors alike will celebrate as church and family come together to show the next generation just how amazing our God is.
